Who are these people who comment on someone’s Facebook status that has changed from “engaged” to “single”? Do they not see how awkward publicly commenting on this is? If you know the person well enough, call or text them. Otherwise, say nothing.

My mom is one of them. My best friend split with his boyfriend of 6.5 years. When his relationship status changed to ‘single’, my mom ‘liked’ it. I wanted to smack her upside the head.
