meredish: top 10 healthiest cities to live →
meredish:
Shape Magazine recently released their annual Top 10 Fittest Cities list. Did your city make the cut?
#1 - Minneapolis - Nearly 86% of residents report they’ve done some form of exercise in the past month and 55% said they’re moderately active for at least half an hour every day.
#2 - …
I’m surprised Austin didn’t make the Top 10. But I guess if they were...
Apparently I’ve developed a mold allergy at age 28.
For 28 years, I’ve dealt with feeling like I want to die during Austin’s horrendous cedar season from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day with the comfort that my allergies were fine the other 9-10 months of the year. And now I have to deal with this shit?!
You know what really sucks the joy out of a 3-day weekend?
Working at 1am because your boss forgot he was supposed to file something that was due at midnight but he’s on a plane from New York so he can’t file it himself. Oh, and it turns out it wasn’t so much ready to file but rather needed quite a bit of work. Even better, this also happens to be a case I’m not even...
Boss is out of town so I’m leaving early to see Bridesmaids!
Huh, I was wondering why the roads are so empty.
– My sister, after I called her to let her know that her town is under a tornado warning.
Mom: I want to stop at Panera for a scone
Dad: I thought you were trying to avoid carbs
Mom: DON'T QUESTION ME!
Congratulations to my beautiful fiancée for graduating today with her Masters of Science in Social Work!!
Either the scale at home is broken, the scale at the gym is broken, or I’ve lost 32 pounds since last week.
I choose to believe the latter.
Shit, The CW renewed One Tree Hill. I’ve wanted to stop watching this show for 4 years.
I hate people who play Words with Friends and just try random combination of letters until they stumble onto something that happens to be a word.
I’m currently playing a game with someone (and this someone is not Will Shortz) whose first three words played were Qursh, Isagoge, and Boyard.
jenmcnasty answered: Omg this sounds EXACTLypY like my little sister!!!!
Are you ok Jen? Did you have a stroke in the middle of posting this answer?
Update on my dumbass sister.
Her flight today leaves at 4:55pm, meaning she needs to get on the road to the airport by 2:30pm at the latest. As of 10am, her phone is going straight to voicemail.
How long do I have to wait before I call her friend who has a key to my sister’s apartment and send her over there to get her ass up and out the door?
My sister is a mess, part 1,348
So I went to the airport after work yesterday to pick up my sister as she comes home for a few weeks after finishing finals and before the summer semester starts.
I’m tracking her flight on my phone, and about 10 minutes before it is supposed to land, my phone rings and it’s my sister. She informs me that her battery apparently fell out of her phone (how the fuck does that even...
TMI Tuesday
Work is boring as hell today for some reason. Please entertain me!

50 Books Challenge
Book #10 - The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly
Book #11 - Trunk Music by Michael Connelly
Book #12 - Angels Flight by Michael Connelly
As you can see, I ran through another 3-book Harry Bosch set on my Kindle. I thoroughly enjoyed all three, with Angels Flight being my favorite. Now I’m kinda stuck because the next Harry Bosch book features two characters introduced in...
Poly Sci vs. Poli Sci
I don’t know why, probably because I’m a crotchety, albeit young and gentile, Larry David, it has always pissed me off when people write “Poly Sci” (much like my cousin did this morning on facebook, thus prompting this post). It’s not the study of many sciences, it’s just the study of political science.
Am I alone on this?

As great as the news last night was, this random ass May cold front making it feel like February for a day is even better.
