My one-day workweek is OVER. Cabo here I come!!
courtneyannabelle asked: Hey!! I was wondering if you could send me the recipe you used for the pumpkin bread? I took half of a loaf to a gathering with my friends tonight, and it was a huge hit! It is seriously so good, and thank you again so much!
I got my Tumblr Eat Up package yesterday!
courtneyannabelle:
My day was so busy yesterday, but I somehow managed to sneak a taste of my awesome gluten free pumpkin bread and brownies!! I will put pictures up today after work, but I just wanted to say thank you, Chris! They are so good!!
Phew. So glad my first foray into gluten-free baking was a total disaster.
Woooooo! We won the battle of new SEC teams! Suck it A&M!
I’m trying my hardest to be in a zen mood watching the game at Big 12
– My sister, and fellow Cardinal hater, watching Game 7 in Columbia, MO. Thank God the Cards didn’t win a World Series when I was in school. Their douchebag fans were insufferable enough getting swept by the Red Sox in 2004.
Moral or no?
I really want to get the Kindle Touch when it comes out on November 21st.
I also really want a Kindle for my trip to Mexico on November 2nd.
So, I’m considering buying a regular Kindle now and then returning it when I get back from Mexico and then shelling out the extra $20 for a Kindle Touch.
Fair or foul?

Is my time more valuable now or when I'm 75?
I was reading something earlier and it said that exercise 5 hours per week can increase your lifespan by 4 years on average.
However, assume I exercise 5 hours per week for 50 years, I’ve lost 1.5 years of my life exercising over that time, so the net benefit is only 2.5 years.
Do I really want to give up 11 days per year during my 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s doing something I loathe for a few...

Did I mention I'm getting married today?
Our Cabo wedding is still happening in two weeks but that one is gonna be purely symbolic.
Anyway, an old family friend who is a judge is gonna come over to my folks’ house to marry us this afternoon. I’m just excited to finally lose my virginity.
clutteredwife asked: Your Tumblr Eat Up package should arrive on monday!!! Get excited!!
I'm going to start irritating people again with my...

The little notch on the “j” key on my work keyboard has worn down and now I actually have to look down to make sure my fingers are on home row.
Does anyone know how to block people who start discussions that are vapid and...

Uh oh, shit’s getting catty on the Austin Young Lawyer’s Association LinkedIn Discussion Board.
Backstory: Nobody actually uses the discussion board because you know, we’re semi-normal human beings, except for this one woman, who always posts shit promoting her cooking blog and...
A fetal tribute band? Well that'd sure be...
Mom: What's that music in the background?
Me: A Beatles tribute Band
Mom: A WHAT?!?
Me: A Beatles tribute band
Mom: OH! The Beatles! I thought you said "a fetal tribute band". I was working on Planned Parenthood stuff all afternoon.
Remember those Dots Gloves that came out last year? You know, those ones where you can wear them and still use an iphone?
So I ordered some for my sister before Christmas last year. They emailed me shortly after to let me know they were backordered and would ship when available.
Flash forward to today, when my sister calls me, wondering where the fuck those gloves that I told her I bought were....
I just ordered Man Spanx for the wedding. I figure if The Girl is gonna make herself super uncomfortable to look good in pictures, I’ll join her in solidarity.
Why does the Sirius radio info scroll tell you the genre of what you’re listening to?
Even if I for some reason gave a shit was genre it is, I’m listening to the goddamn song, I can figure out the genre on my own, thanks.
*Yes, I know you can look at info on stations you aren’t currently listening to, but still, if I’m going to switch to a different station, it’s...

You know it was a brutal summer when today’s high of 83 sounds downright chilly.

I’ve gained about 80 pounds this weekend.
We went to Fogo de Chao Friday night and had kolaches, a tailgate box from Raising Cane’s, and smoked a brisket, boudin, and ribs yesterday. Oh, and the 5 of us demolished a cookie cake that allegedly feeds 26-30. Not to mention the copious amounts of beer and chips.
Now it’s off to the taqueria for brunch and then the bar for the...

50 Books Update
34. The Reversal by Michael Connelly
35. The Fifth Witness by Michael Connelly
36. The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
37. The Old Man and the Wasteland by Nick Cole
In other wedding news, we got our marriage license today! Now we just need to find someone to actually marry us before it expires in 30 days. Our wedding in Cabo is purely symbolic because getting legally married in Mexico is kinda a pain in the ass.
Secular wedding reading ideas?
So my sister is feeling a little left out of the wedding stuff (I had always told her she would be my best man, but we’re not having wedding parties), so my mom suggested maybe she could do a reading at the ceremony.
That sounds great except that The Girl and I are both atheist-leaning agnostics and I’m having a hell of a time coming up with something that I would actually want read...
