Since after lunch yesterday, I have spent over 6 hours just highlighting excerpts from hundreds of pages. For some reason they didn’t show this part on Boston Legal or Law & Order.

This post by Katie-Mac reminded me of a funny story about my sister. When she was in like 5th grade, one of the questions on her social studies test was about how Native American tribes farmed in dry areas. Obviously, the answer the teacher was looking for “irrigation.” My sister answered “It was hard, but they managed.” My mom argues to this day that my sister should...

It’s now 11:30 and I have done maybe 30 minutes of work today. Granted, I think I’ve earned this after working over 44 hours over the last 4 days.

Me: There needs to be a better way to buy theatre tickets. I was looking at the West Side Story presale and when i click 'best available', it keeps giving me seats on the very end of the row. Maybe those are the best, but how do i know the system's idea of best and my idea of best are the same?
Katie-Mac: yeah truth
Me: it should just pull up a map of the facility and show available seats and you can click on them, like picking seats on an airplane
Katie-Mac: yeah that would be better for sure
me: i should've saved all these thoughts for tumblr, i've really been tumblr slacking lately
Katie-Mac: yeah i didnt want to say anything but you suck

My boss just poked his head in and said I’m doing great work. I’ve done like 90 minutes worth of work since I got here at 8am. Looks like I just got unintentionally guilt-tripped into busting ass until 5.

Welp, gonna have to find a new Chinese restaurant
I was leaving my regular lunch place today and there was an Asian guy standing by the door, so I looked at him and said ‘thank you’. Didn’t realize until I was out the door that he was a customer, not an employee, and that I’m just racist.

kriskratz replied to your post: Gather around boys and girls, it’s awkward story… they probably were expecting you to wash her hair in the kitchen sink! Hahaha, that totally never occured to me. I was just picturing my parents picturing me and The Girl showering together.

Gather around boys and girls, it’s awkward story time. So last night, my parents came over to our apartment to watch the game and have dinner. While cooking, The Girl cut a pretty nice sized chunk out of her thumb. Later in the evening, she expressed concern as to how she was going to wash her hair. At this point, both of my parents simultaneously suggest that I can do it. I have...

How to Make Friends and Convince Them You Are... →
katie-mac: hellokatie: thekimenator: I always love a great ‘how to’… click through for the full read.  Know about history and politics. Read about music. Read about current events. Take notes. Memorize them. Get interested in something. Hiking. Sushi. Cubism. Exude “Take me skydiving with you,” not “Milk makes me gassy.” Do not lose focus in the presence of others—you might repeat yourself...

helloyouhellome: mavieenrose: and seriously - please don’t go to law school unless you really really want to be a lawyer. it’s not worth the money otherwise. Yup. My dad was a lawyer/judge which greatly influenced my decision to not go to law school. The market for lawyers has changed drastically since the over-hyped ideal that you would be like Tom Cruise in “The Firm”.  I couldn’t...

Vote for Mike!
http://highschoolrudyawards.com/Nominees/380/Michael_Harris.aspx Michael has been very inspirational in his journey in life; he was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at an early age and has overcome that by maintaining good grades in school, making the honor role in several grades. His social skills have improved tremendously and he is a boy scout and has been for 4 years now. He also participates...

Is it cheating to do a book on tape for 50 books?
I don’t really like audiobooks but I looked up Assasination Vacation by Sarah Vowell per the Illini’s suggestion and the audio book sounds AMAZING! The music is by Michael Giacchino, the composer for Up! and Lost. And the cast of the audiobook, my god! Conan O’Brien as Robert Todd Lincoln Eric Bogosian as John Wilkes Booth Stephen King as Abraham Lincoln Dave Eggers as Mike...
